The Role
Vacancy for Teaching Assistant to lead Nurture Groups and wider wellbeing provision
Grade: TA2 Fixed term for 1 Year in the first instance
Required From: September 2019
8.50am until 3.20pm Thursdays and Fridays in term-time
Teaching assistant: required to lead nurture groups, provide wellbeing support to pupils and to support teaching and learning.
12.0 Hours per Week
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will:
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Interact with young children calmly, positively and flexibly to raise esteem, develop social skills, coping strategies and independence.
- Communicate effectively, have a solution-focused, collaborative attitude and be able to work successfully with colleagues, families and external professionals.
- Be creative, positive and able to use own initiative while working within school policies and under the guidance of line manager and other experienced / senior staff.
- Ideally have training in leading Nurture Group sessions.
