We are looking for a School Caretaker/Site Technician to join our well established site team at King

Edward VI School Lichfield for students aged 11-18 years. The successful candidate will have a positive outlook, be reliable, flexible in attitude and able to cope with the varied nature of the role. They will need to be able to use their initiative, be proactive to the needs of the school, have a good understanding of Health & Safety/COSSH Regulations and be able to take on small projects as required. The post holder will undertake general maintenance work around the site and carry out grounds work. The physical aspect of the role also involves putting up and taking down exam desks and moving furniture.

The role involves occasional weekend (usually 1 in 6) and occasional evening work to cover lettings and other events that occur during the school year.

The post is full time, permanent, 37 hours per week, whole year. The usual working hours are 9:30am - 5:30pm, although at times this will need to be adjusted to provide coverage until 6:30pm or

evening/weekend hours as outlined above.
