Service Improvement & Efficiency support service areas within Children’s and Adults Services. We have vacancies in the following service areas:

Early Help & Support locality teams

Child Protection & Family Support shared vacancy with Brokerage & Procurement
Family Solutions
Family Placements, Children in Care & Leaving Care Team
Education & Corporate Parenting (Special Educational Needs and Disability)

Apprentice placements are for anyone aged 16 or over who will, through appropriate training and development, provide support within the Business Support team.

A training programme will give a broad understanding and knowledge about the services provided by the team and will enable the individual to gain a range of skills.
1. To study for a Business Administration NVQ Level 2 qualification.
2. To make and receive telephone calls and to take messages in line with Customer Charter guidelines.
3. Receiving and responding to correspondence including email, letter, hand-written note and verbal request.
4. Providing administrative and word-processing support; ensuring all work produced (email, letters, reports etc) is of high quality and complies with house-style format regulations.
5. Utilising MS Outlook calendars and schedules to book appointments with internal and external persons, sometimes in conjunction with meeting room availability.
6. To report to and be mentored by the Senior Business Support Officer for the area recruited to.
