Relief Minibus Driver 

Salary £9.36 per hour  Plus 14.5 % enhancement  
Additional enhancements are paid in terms of travelling expenses.
Relief Drivers provide cover for driver sickness, holidays and busy periods.
No Set hours. Zero contracted hours per week.


The driving duties are varied transporting a variety of children and adult client groups. The majority of driving cover required is Monday to Friday by way of example between 7am and 9.15  and 2.30 to 5:30 pm on a split shift to safely transport children or adults of a morning and returning them home in the afternoon. There is also the opportunity to cover other day trips  


There is a particular requirement for drivers in the Worcester, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Redditch and   Evesham areas.    


Applicants must be a minimum of 21years of age.
Hold a licence category D1


Demonstrate evidence of experience of driving appropriate vehicles.
Drivers work as part of a team with the Passenger Assistant assigned to the route who attends to client needs whilst travelling. The driver is required to develop and maintain good communication with the Passenger Assistant, all members of the organisation, school, and parents.
To carry out Safety checks on the minibus prior to collection and drive in a safe manner at all times. Assist with movement of passengers including use of tail lift and wheel chair securing as required
To carry out basic administration, clean minibus and fill the minibus with fuel when required.
Candidates are required to successfully complete a County Council driving assessment prior to interview.


Due to the nature of the work a criminal records check via the DBS disclosure service will also be required.
