The Children and Family Act 2014 introduced some significant legislative changes to the way of working with children and young people with special educational needs.

Staffordshire County Council is seeking to appoint a permanent part-time SEND Key Worker within the SEND Assessment and Planning Service to co-ordinate new education health and care (EHC) needs assessments, maintain and review EHC plans and undertake other duties required for the EHC process. 

We are seeking a passionate, motivated individual who has a real drive to work with children, young people who have special educational needs, their families and schools, in a truly person-centred way that fully involves the child, young person and their family in the process.

The post is based in the Lichfield District Office, but travel to other areas of Staffordshire for meetings or training will also be required
