A Positive Action training initiative for disabled people
The Recruit-Ability programme provides 12 months part-time paid work experience and training for people who have a disability. Additionally, participants can expect to receive full support and advice and access to training courses.
We currently have the following placement available at the New Art Gallery Walsall
Trainee Programme Assistant – Ref: EE45619
- Based at the New Art Gallery Walsall
- 18.5 hours per week, fixed term training placement for 12 months.
- Training allowance of £17,192 pro rata to hours worked.
You will provide administrative and technical support to the New Art Gallery. This will include helping with the preparation of materials for exhibitions, workshops and events, general typing, updating the gallery’s website and social media pages and helping with finance. You will also help to set up exhibitions, events and displays at the gallery.
Applicants should have a familiarity and interest in Art and have the ability to assist with exhibitions and events and to provide administrative support.
Please note: This placement is available to disabled applicants only as part of Walsall Council's Recruit-Ability Programme. Recruit-Ability is a positive action programme aimed at providing targeted training to disabled people who are under-represented in our workforce. Equality Act (Section 158) applies. Applicants must be new to Walsall Council and new to this type of positive action programme.
