Job Details
Leisure Services is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced individual to assist in the effective building management of the Crystal Leisure Centre.
Duties will include being responsible for maintaining swimming pool plant and water quality, energy management, general repairs and maintenance, cleaning and building security.
Hours: 37 per week to include public holidays.
Salary: Grade 6
The successful candidate will be required to follow instructions as allocated by Management and ensure these duties are carried out to the required standard.
You must be in possession of the Royal Life Saving Society Institute of Qualified Lifeguard Qualification, Pool Plant Operators certificate CIMSPA, IOSH qualification/equivalent, Trained in the use of access towers and ladders or be willing to undertake training as a condition of employment. Regular attendance at training sessions is compulsory to ensure you retain the qualifications.
The Authority will provide opportunities for the training along with assessment and renewal of the Qualification. Ensure the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times.
To assist with the Leisure Centre’s pool water treatment by carrying out basic water tests and recording of atmospheric conditions, reporting variances and taking the corrective action as appropriate.
To assist in the completion of programmed maintenance and safety checks, fault reporting including follow up action where appropriate, including the monitoring and operation of the building management system.
To take the necessary action to rectify minor repairs and maintenance problems as they occur and to contribute to the centre’s overall planned maintenance programme. You will carry out programmed building checks, maintaining records and work schedules accordingly.
Administer First Aid as necessary and as appropriate to qualification. To report accidents, injuries and incidents according to schedule B11 of the Council’s Corporate Procedures and Guidance
To be aware and fully understand the Leisure Centre’s procedures including Normal Operating Procedures and Emergency Action Plans.
To motivate and assist in the training of staff to ensure high standard of service is provided.
Uphold the Section’s Vision, Values and Policies. You must attend staff training or meetings when required by the Centre Manager. Carry out any other duties commensurate with the salary grade and responsibility of the post.
