37 Hours per week – Permanent This is an opportunity to manage an experienced and supportive Throughcare Team based in Burton on Trent. The team work with Looked After Children from the age of 13-25 years. Throughcare Teams provide the following services: • Social Work Case Management of older Looked After Children, based around high quality care plans. • Direct work with children and young people, their families and carers • Close work with other agencies to provide packages of holistic support to young people • All aspects of Pathway Planning for young people who are preparing to leave care, with a particular focus on the specific needs of UASC’s • Advice, support and guidance to young people who have left care You will be responsible for leading and directing a team of social works, personal advisors and family support workers alongside a team co-ordinator. This will include recruitment and induction of staff; direct supervision in accordance with Directorate policies and guidelines; overseeing all referrals to the service and allocating work; authorising closure or transfer of cases and managing the performance statistics of the team. You will also hold a team budget and be responsible for managing this within the Financial Regulations Policy.
