37 hours per week

As a result of the successful growth of our Commercial Services, we are expanding our team and have an opportunity available for someone to join us in growing the Commercial Waste business further to deliver a high quality service to businesses across the West Midlands, operating out of our Bromsgrove Depot.

The successful applicant will be willing to work as an integral part of the waste collection team and help grow our customer base. They will need to have ownership of the service and work flexibly alongside staff at every level to support the delivery of the service and build strong relationships with new and existing customers in a friendly and supportive way.

Councils are under increasing financial pressure, and our Commercial Service helps fund the wider Council Services and reduce the impact on Council Tax payers. The service has grown rapidly in the last few years as a result of a real can-do attitude, ownership, and teamwork.

We’re keen to find someone with the same passion to help take this service forwards and help make the Council more financially secure so that services are protected for the future.

As a Council, supporting the environment and our local businesses are at the heart of what we do, and combined with the indirect investment in local services, this gives us a great platform to work with businesses.

The successful applicant will have customer service experience, have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes and be self-motivated. You will able to demonstrate the right attitude, behaviours and personal attributes to provide a quality customer focussed shared service on behalf of Bromsgrove District Council.
