Job Details
Highways Technician / Inspector
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team of Highways Technician / Inspectors, primarily carrying out highways inspections and investigating and resolving public enquiries and complaints.
Successful applicant s will be required to work countywide, have a full valid driving licence, have at least 2 years of civil engineering work experience / knowledge. Be able to demonstrate a willingness to work outside of normal working hours in adverse weather conditions.
Be prepared to appear in court to assist in the defence of third party claims, take on additional training as and when required. Be able to travel as a passenger whilst undertaking driven highway inspections.
Staff will be provided with regular and formal training and supervision.
We have 12, 35hour posts to be split between our Lydiate Ash depot at Bromsgrove and our Newlands depot based in Malvern.
The normal working pattern will be based around a 35hour week with some overtime out of normal working hours (especially during the winter months and during periods of severe weather).
The salary for this position starts at £22,999 and rises through incremental steps to £24,894
