Apprentice Regeneration Assistant - Ref: EE45719

We have a great opportunity for a driven individual to join our award winning team as a Business Administration Apprentice.  The person will provide support to the employer engagement service in order to help local people who are looking for employment and training opportunities. The team are responsible for managing and delivery of the Council’s Walsall Works and Black Country Impact programmes.

We want to hear from an enthusiastic, passionate and highly motivated individual who can play a part in changing the lives of local people and who wants to create a positive impact to our local communities. 

We are looking for a candidate with some basic administrative skills, with English and Maths GCSE Grade C or equivalent and interest in regeneration to join our diverse and dynamic team.

You will need to:

  • You will be required to undertake Apprenticeship Training in Business Administration this will include 20% off job training, delivered by Performance through People.
  • You may also be required to undertake Functional Skills English and Maths’
  • Have an interest regeneration and employer engagement
  • Be interested in developing new skills in project management and project delivery
  • Have a willingness to learn about software packages to produce and maintain databases, spreadsheets, monitoring reports, case studies and action plans.

The Government’s Code of Practice, on the English Language, Fluency Duty for public sector workers, covers this post.  The post holder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English
