About Us:

 

Transport Operations secures all home to school transport provision for mainstream students and students with special educational needs as well as transport to day care and respite services.

 

We're looking for a Driver to join us working 27 hours per week working from our Stratford and Warwick depots.

 

The Role:

 

As our Driver, you'll be working within a team, on a split shift system that will include the morning shift from around 7.00 am and you will then return for the afternoon shift at around 2.30 pm each week day. 

 

You'll be responsible for assisting and transporting adults and children to Day Care; Respite placements across Warwickshire. 

 

As well as driving, you'll be helping passengers on and off the bus; ensuring their comfort and safety during transportation;maintaining the vehicle records and ensuring the bus is clean and tidy after each use.  

 

In addition you may undertake the Passenger Assistant duties and will help the wider team as required.

 

Key requirements:

 

To be successful in this role, it's important you:

 

  • Enjoy driving and hold a clean driving licence with Category D1.
  •  

  • You are available to work shifts in the early mornings and afternoons. 
  •  

  • Good communication and customer care skills.
  •  

  • Enjoy meeting and assisting people of various ages and disabilities providing a courteous and sensitive service.  
  •  

  • The ability to work within a team and on your own initiative, whilst being flexible in your approach.
  •  

  • Helping the wider team as necessary.
  •  

  • You'll be used to handling confidential information with tact and discretion. 
  •  

    It would be advantageous if you have experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and have experience of working with young and elderly people who are disabled.
