Staffordshire County Council is recruiting to an exciting leadership opportunity within our Member and Democratic Services team. 

Our successful applicant will be part of the leadership, development and delivery of the Council’s Overview and Scrutiny function ensuring that it is effective and relevant and that it reflects the Council’s priorities.  You will also be part of our wider democratic and corporate governance function.

You will be responsible for the provision of high quality, independent and professional advice, assistance and guidance to members and officers.  You will be able to demonstrate high levels of political sensitivity and awareness and highly tuned negotiating skills as this post works at the centre of complex professional relationships. You will be enthusiastic and solution focused and have an excellent attention to detail. A current knowledge of Local Government decision making processes and experience in a similar role within the public sector is essential.
