Are you looking to develop your experience in a range of urban and rural planning issues?

An opportunity has arisen within the Development and Enforcement Team for a Graduate Planning Officer.  You will be based in Rugby Town Centre in Warwickshire within a Borough of over 100,000 population which is expected to grow by 30% by 2035.  

Depending on your knowledge and experience your main responsibilities will be the processing of a range of planning applications and associated consents, including providing pre-application advice on proposed applications, assessing, preparing and presenting reports on planning applications and representing the Council in any appeals.  Explaining every step of the planning process to our customers is vital to our success, and your achievements will be based not only on your ability to do your job but also on putting customer service at the heart of everything you do. 

You will need to have a relevant degree, knowledge of the current planning legislation and possess excellent communication and advisory skills. A driving licence and access to a car for business use is essential.
