Job Details
A secondment opportunity has arisen for a Placement Officer within the Fostering Team to cover maternity leave until October 2020 (open to existing employees only).
Hours: 37 per week
Closing date - 5.00 pm on Monday 2nd September 2019
The role will include:-
Assisting Social Workers in identifying suitable placements for vulnerable children coming into or already placed in care.
Arranging and co-ordinating a variety of services as identified by Social Workers to meet the identified needs of children and young people in a timely manner. To contribute to the delivery of services that enable the best outcome for children, young people and their families/carers.
The successful candidate will need to have:-
Good IT skills including word & excel;
Good interpersonal skills and able to liaise confidentially with Foster Carers, Social Workers and other agencies;
Able to remain calm under pressure;
Be flexible;
Able to be concise in the sharing of information.
