Assistant Psychologist
Scale 5 (£22,021 – 23,836 per annum)
Full time, fixed term: September 19 - July 20 (possibility of extending to July 21)
We are looking to appoint an Assistant Psychologist to join Telford and Wrekin Educational Psychology Service (EPS) on a full time basis. This is a one year post with the possibility of extending to two years; the expectation is that you will apply for professional doctoral training in educational psychology.We work with children and young people aged 0-25 years, their parents and carers, schools, early years and post 16 settings applying psychology to help promote wellbeing and achievement. This work involves a focus on individual children and young people, groups as well as work at an organisational level. Telford and Wrekin EPS also has a statutory role in relation to education, health and care needs assessments. We provide in-service training for colleagues in schools and settings. We are seeking to appoint an assistant psychologist to support this work.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, professional and supportive team of psychologists. You will receive supervision from a qualified educational psychologist. You will be involved in contributing to specific assessments and interventions, research projects and other development work under the guidance and supervision of educational psychologists.
