Lead Officer Level 2 - Vision and Policy
This post is a fixed-term contract / secondment opportunity for 12 months.
We are seeking a dynamic and creative member of a strategic team that is pivotal to driving the delivery of our vision for Sandwell - Vision 2030. We recognise that only by building a truly collaborative approach will we be successful in achieving our ambitions. You’ll be working with all our strategic partners inside and outside Sandwell, at all levels of the organisation, and engaging with residents and other key stakeholders to nurture this collaboration.
You will have a background and experience in influencing and shaping strategy and policy development, have great communications skills, having developed working relationships with a range of partners within the public sector, and should be able to work with minimum supervision to provide quality strategic policy advice to a range of audiences.
The working environment is dynamic and your workload will be varied. You need to be able to demonstrate your ability to adapt and respond to tasks that may not always have a clear solution. You’ll be working across the organisation on corporate-wide strategic projects and with strategic partners to co-design and deliver the tools and initiatives we need to deliver Vision 2030. We don’t yet have all the answers – work with us to help develop and deliver them.
