Worcester City Council is investing in technology and is modernising the parking and enforcement service with a brand new set of over 45 parking payment machines throughout the City. In addition to this investment we are seeking to increase our enforcement team, who will be using brand new hand held devices to maintain standards for parking, alongside litter and other enforcement activities.

You will be a part of the team covering the City so enjoying being outside and walking are key to this role.  

This role can be undertaken as a Traineeship. Please include this in your personal statement.

The Civil Enforcement Officer role is critical to the smooth running of the City, from issuing parking advise and penalty notices to providing litter warnings and investigating fly tipping, we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, who has experience in a similar role or is keen to learn.

Excellent team working, communication and a good level of IT skills are required for the role, along with the ability to remain calm when interacting with the public.  You will be exceptional at working with people to ensure that standards are upheld, firm but fair. You will thrive learning new systems, and undertaking continued professional service delivery and will love a challenge.

Working hours are 37 per week and include weekends, evenings and early mornings.
