Senior Administrator - Looked After Children and Fostering Service
37.0 Hours per Week
Solihull Childrens Services is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated Senior Administrator who has exceptional organisational skills and experience of working in an administration role to join our Looked-After Children and Fostering Service, specifically working in the Fostering team.
Contributing to making a difference to the young people and families of Solihull, you will be one of a team of Senior Administrators supporting a busy Fostering team by providing an effective and efficient administration service.
The role involves frequently liaising by phone, email and post with a range of professionals, including foster carers, social workers and GP’s, processing of DBS’s and minuting meetings. You will be responsible for managing your own workload, with support from your manager and the Fostering Team Manager
Located in our modern offices at Chelmsley Wood, you will manage other administration staff and work alongside the wider social work service including contact with a range of customers and stakeholders.
To be successful in the role you will have
- 4 GCSEs Grade A-C (or equivalent) including Maths and English, or a NVQ level 2 in Business Administration.
- Significant experience in office administration
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of using a wide range of computer packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (or similar).
- Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to produce consistently accurate work
