Residential Manager- The Riddings

Salary up to: £41,675

Worcestershire County Council are seeking to appoint a high calibre Residential Home Manager for our Children on a Permanent basis.

The Residential home Manager will manage 4 beds for children (registered with Ofsted). Your role will involve the leadership and management of a team of support staff. It requires performance management, management oversight of resources and cases, and budget management. The role requires a highly skilled and experienced person who is able to manage the home to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.

You will need an understanding of, and a commitment to working directly with children and young people who have a range of needs emotional, behavioural and communication needs. Experience of working with children in a residential childcare setting and of supervising staff is essential. We are looking for someone who can be creative and flexible whilst maintaining a high level of professional responsibility and accountability. You will need to have managerial and leadership qualities, with a good understanding of team dynamics. Partnership working is key within the role and you must be able to work closely with other agencies and professionals. An understanding of quality assurance and its importance in developing services is also important.

As a Residential home Manager, you will lead and ensure that the home maintains an acceptable Ofsted rating of ‘Good’ or better and meet the Ofsted requirements at all times through continuous improvement and quality assurance. You will be required to be a registered manager with Ofsted services.
