Teacher: Cake Decorating & Sugar Crafts Contract Type: Adult Teacher, part time permanentSalary: Scale 4 – 10 (£20,061 - £24,339 pro-rata)Hours: 9.25 hours per week (200 teaching hours per year) Teacher: Cookery & Crafts Contract Type: Adult Teacher, part time permanentSalary: Scale 4 – 10 (£20,061 - £24,339 pro-rata)Hours: 12.95 hours per week (280 teaching hours per year) Required immediately The Service is looking to appoint part time teachers to teach adults in the subjects of Cake Decorating & Sugar Crafts and Cookery & Crafts. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record for delivery of high quality teaching, learning and assessment in these subject areas. Successful candidates will hold a full teaching qualification, ideally an assessor’s qualification and a degree or equivalent in their relevant subject specialism. In addition, candidates will have a broad range of experience in Post 16 education and training with excellent communication and organisational skills. You will also have a proven track record in student support, curriculum development and outstanding curriculum delivery. Knowledge of the requirements of a variety of exam boards, accreditation modes and means of assessment relevant to adult students is desirable. You must demonstrate a good understanding of adult learning contexts and the motivations and barriers facing students, and you will also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of working with people with disability and/or special needs which is essential in some delivery areas.
