We now have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer role in our Productivity and Skills Directorate. We are looking for a highly organized individual with strong attention to detail to support with the monitoring of contractual compliance across the Adult Education Budget.
The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) is a strategic authority working with partners to deliver a stronger West Midlands, with a focus on skills, innovation, transport, economic development and regeneration. Individual Councils and Local Enterprise Partnerships will still deliver services and retain their identity but on the big decisions we will have the resources to work together.

The Productivity and Skills Team
The team is focused on inclusive growth - more local jobs and more local people benefitting from jobs. To do this we work closely with the regions universities, colleges and training providers and also employers so that the training matches their skills needs.
About the role
You will be responsible for the co-ordination and assessment of partners’ claims, validating returns against guidelines to ensure compliance. Identifying areas of improvement, through the development of risk registers, analysing key themes whilst working with partners to raise the standard of their submissions. You will identify and collate key findings in the form of reports and present these to both partners and the management team.
To succeed in the role
You will have experience of auditing returns against AEB guidelines. You’ll need to have good analytical skills, with the ability to monitor information and identify areas of improvement. Utilising strong interpersonal skills, you will be confident in communicating with key partners to help refine their claim processes. The role will give you the opportunity to work in a fast moving team across a range of exciting projects that will deliver real change to local people.
