37 Hours per week – Permanent
Staffordshire County Council is recruiting to an exciting senior leadership opportunity within our Corporate Services Directorate. Our successful applicant will be the officer leading on our democratic functions, our civic and Lieutenancy support and playing a key corporate governance role.
You will have demonstrated an understanding and extensive experience of a governance role within a complex local government environment, be able to demonstrate what excellent looks like and have a track record of delivering. You will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality, independent and professional advice, assistance and guidance to members and officers. You will be able to demonstrate high levels of political sensitivity and awareness and highly tuned influencing and negotiating skills as this post works at the centre of complex professional relationships. You will be enthusiastic, solution focused and have an excellent attention to detail. A thorough knowledge of Local Government decision making processes and experience in a similar role within the public sector is essential.
