Walsall Children’s Services
Salary: G6 £22,684 - £26,732
Fixed Term until 31 July 2020
This is an exciting opportunity to join Walsall Council’s Alternative Provision Team to organise and supervise administrative systems within the Alternative Provision Team. Contribute to the planning, development and monitoring of support services and/or management of support staff, including coordination and delegation of relevant activities.
Walsall Council has statutory duties to provide alternative education for Walsall resident pupils of compulsory school who, because of exclusion, illness or other reasons, would not otherwise receive suitable education.
The purpose of the role is to take a lead role in planning, development, design, organisation and monitoring of support systems and procedures, liaise between managers/teaching staff and support staff, attend regular team meetings and undertake induction/training for other staff.
The post holder will be responsible for the selection and management of resources, including management of a budget and regular audit of resources. The role will manage financial administration procedures, monitoring financial spend and processing invoices and take a lead role in planning, monitoring and evaluation of the budget.
You will be required to comply with all relevant DfE policies and procedures.
