Job Details
Corporate Landlord Services are looking to appoint a Bar Supervisor at Dudley Town Hall and other various locations.
Hours of Work-
Hours and times of work will vary in accordance with the needs of the service.
You will be required to work overtime, evenings and weekends.
You will be required to work a total of 1,040 hours over a 52 week year period.
Salary: Grade 4, £9.74ph
The post holder will manage the unit within the allocated budget and ensure that all Catering, Cleaning and Caretaking Services policies and procedures are adhered to within the legal restraints, and overall to meet customer satisfaction.
Main Job Activities
Supervising all bar operations including managing the day to day duties and performance of bar staff; maintaining and ordering stock; ensuring associated equipment remains operational and managing arrangements with suppliers; cash handling and reconciliation.

Assisting with the preparation of the bars and cellar to ensure timely opening and operations and ultimately our customers’ requirements.
Ordering and receiving new stock; checking quality, quantity and maintaining records to meet the relevant hygiene regulations.
Ensuring correct stock rotation, storage and cleanliness of cellar and bars.
Dealing with suppliers to ensure all associated equipment is maintained and operational.
Serving beverages in a friendly and efficient manner to ensure our customers’ satisfaction.
Hold a personal alcohol license (or be willing to obtain this license).
Undertake the role of ‘Dedicated Premises Supervisor’ under the Licensing Act 2003.
Promote the objectives of the licensing act and supervise and train staff in the sale of alcohol.
Other Duties

Where required by the Catering and Cleaning Section Manager, to work at any other venue (inside or outside) as required to assist in the provision of food and alcoholic beverages.
In addition to the duties listed above, the post-holder must be flexible in their approach and undertake other duties that are commensurate with the post-holder’s level, wherever they may be, to achieve the objectives of the Directorate.
Key requirements;
- Must possess a valid Food Hygiene Certificate or be willing to train for one
- Experience of serving food within a large catering operation
- Experience in a catering role, including food preparation.
- Good customer service skills
- Experience of using a till

Qualifications / Training
