Scale 3£18,795 – £19,171 per annum pro rata 20 hours per week Based at Hindlip Park A permanent opportunity has arisen in the Operational Policy Department, based at Southwell House, Hindlip Park. The PersonThe post holder will be responsible for assisting managers with administration for Health and Safety, Intel, Fire Control, and development of Operational Policy. This includes maintaining document management procedures, production of reports, updating the department SharePoint site, preparing routine correspondence, and arranging meetings and where necessary taking minutes.Experience and KnowledgeA recognised word processing qualification A minimum of 3 GCSE or equivalent (one of which must be English Language)Experience of working within an administrative capacityA pragmatic approach to problem solvingGood personal time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlinesThe ability to display initiative and work without close supervisionThe ability to assess the validity and accuracy of information to provide solutionsExperience of producing good quality documentation and correspondenceAbility to use MS-Office and other ICT applicationsExperience of using the internet as a research toolSkills Computer literacy and the ability to use Microsoft Office productsGood oral and written communication skills at all levelsExcellent skills to research and prepare and proof-read detailed reportsThe ability to maintain confidentialityAbout Us Every day we're helping to save lives and keep the community safe - and not only by fighting fires. Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service is responsible for providing day-to-day fire and rescue services across the two counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Our stations are staffed by a mix of 'wholetime' firefighters - operating on a full-time basis and providing an immediate response - and ‘on-call’ firefighters who work and live in their local communities and respond to emergency calls whenever they are needed.
