The Role
To begin Monday 4th November 2019

Do you have a passion for ensuring that all children achieve their full potential? If so, then we want to meet you.
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and knowledgeable Special Educational Needs Coordinator to join our team. Ideally, you will already hold a nationally recognised SENDCo qualification and will be able to demonstrate how the impact of your experience has helped to improve standards for children with Special Educational Needs.
We are committed to finding the right person to join our team so we are able to offer some flexibility to the right candidate. This role will be considered as a full time post with class PPA cover 3 afternoons a week or a part time position (20 hours a week). You will also be supported by a highly skilled SENDCo assistant.
The successful candidate will:
- be a good teacher with knowledge and experience of teaching pupils with special educational needs
- have experience of leading and managing staff in developing and implementing effective provision for vulnerable pupils
- have good literacy and mathematical skills
- be hard working and adaptable to change
- have a secure understanding and knowledge of observing children’s learning
- experience of working with a range of outside agencies
- knowledge of referral processes including preparation for statutory assessment
- have an excellent knowledge and understanding of record keeping in relation to SEND pupils.
