Key Stage Four Co-Ordinator
The Pupil Access Team work to provide advice and support to Schools, parents and youngsters regarding Permanent Exclusion from schools across the Dudley borough.
Although we work hard to prevent exclusion if possible we also take responsibility for arranging the next educational step for those youngsters whose exclusion does get carried through.
At KS4 (years 10 and 11) most excluded youngsters are placed in Alternative Provision and the Pupil Access Team take responsibility for overseeing the final two years of their education.
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: Grade 8
We are looking for an enthusiastic Key Stage Four Co-ordinator to work within the team, and closely with the Team's Outcomes Officer, to ensure barriers to engagement and progress are minimised, securing aspirational outcomes for all within Alternative Provision.
You will be an enthusiastic team player with a good sense of humour and an ability to show sensitivity in difficult situations. Educated to at least GCSE standard of English and Mathematics you will be a good communicator with the ability to liaise with young people, parents and other agencies.
You will have some knowledge and understanding regarding current guidance and review of Alternative Provision and law relating to exclusion.
Access to a car is important for this role as is some experience of using IT systems for monitoring and recording.
