School Cleaner

The Role

Middlemarch School are currently seeking to recruit a Cleaner to join our existing dedicated cleaning team.

We are looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic and who will ensure that the high standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained within our school.

Duties will include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying litter bins and using powered equipment as required in specified areas within the school in accordance with the school’s standards. Work is undertaken under the guidance of the cleaning supervisor. Full list of duties can be found within the attached Job Description form.

Hours are 10 hours a week Monday to Friday 4 to 6pm term time, plus 2 weeks in the summer holidays.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate should ideally have previous cleaning experience in a similar setting and must have good communication and interpersonal skills.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
