Salary: Grade 6  Scale point 20  FTE £19,819 to £22,401

Type: Fixed Term until 31st August 2020,

 (32.5 hours of 37 hour per week contract)

Weeks Term time only = actual salary £15,106 - £17,074.64 (Pay award pending)

Blackfriars Academy are looking to appoint a person who is an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant on a Fixed Term basis. We require a committed and enthusiastic person to work with our staff and students across the school.  You will demonstrate a caring and professional approach, be highly motivated and be an excellent team player who aspires to high standards. Behaviour management and 1:1 experience is desirable.

Role responsibilities – You will be expected to support the teacher in the classroom where appropriate and follow instructions given.  You will also be expected to support the pupils in the class who have a very wide range of needs including complex medical, autism, VI, HI and moderate learning difficulties.  Your duties will include assisting pupils to perform tasks that are required of them and cover break and lunchtime duties.  Training will be given for any medical interventions that may be required.  The role will be classroom/intervention room based and maybe as a Class TA or 1:1.
