We have an opportunity for a suitably qualified Accountancy Assistant to join the Council’s Accountancy Team within Financial Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring income and expenditure budgets and providing support to a number of budget holders within the Place Services Directorate.

Hours:  37 hours per week

Location: 4 Ednam Road, Dudley

You must have a minimum of 5 GCSE`s grade C or above, or equivalent, including Maths and English, and be AAT qualified/ actively studying for the final stages of the AAT qualification or hold a relevant degree qualification.

You will have the ability to use PC based information technology, have a good working knowledge of spread sheets, preferably Excel, including the manipulation of data from computer systems and to understand and analyse financial data. Good verbal, numerical reasoning and written communication skills are required with the ability to produce accurate numeric work.
