This is an interesting opportunity to provide a service to enable couples to legally marry and enter into legal civil partnerships and to preside at other ceremonies such as baby naming and vow renewals at approved hotels and authorised building within the City of Birmingham. The role also includes officiating at citizenship ceremonies for persons granted British citizenship. The role requires that you are flexible and are able to work predominantly Tuesdays,  weekends and bank holidays, especially during the busy summer period, but also to be available to work as and when required on Monday, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays  on an annualised contract of 845 hours per year on an as and when required’ basis

You will have close contact with the couples and their guests, so need to be approachable and professional. Excellent organisational and communication skills You will need to have clear, neat handwriting, be flexible and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. You must be able to work productively as part of a team and on your own initiative. You will also require a positive outlook and be responsive to customer needs, and the needs of the Registration Service

You will have had previous experience of working in a busy customer care environment. A meticulous attention to detail. Extremely accurate
