Passenger Transport Drivers
We have Driving post vacancy’s at 20 hours per week Term Time to be utilised where required within the special needs transport service based at Whitley depot.
Although the service operates over 6 days the posts available are to cover a variety of school or college routes during school term times, Monday to Friday from approx 07.30 to 09.30 and 14.30 to 16.30 daily.
The positions could include transporting a variety of different people ranging from adults or children with learning difficulties and or physical /visual/hearing impairments and or older people
To fulfil the positions available you will need to be:
- Over 21 years of age and have held a full driving licence for a minimum of 3 years with D1 or D1(101) entitlement or alternatively a full PSV licence which qualifies you to drive up to a 16 seat minibus.
- Able to help people physically on and off minibuses and handle wheelchairs and clients with mobility issues.
- Able to attend a 1 week induction programme between the hours of 07.30 and 16.30, Monday to Friday.
