The Apprentice Community Development Worker (Roma and Romanian Communities) will be part of Dudley Council’s Healthy Communities Team working with existing Community Development Workers and in conjunction with the Community Safety Team. The post holder will be based at 3-5 St. James’s Road, Dudley; however a good proportion of the post holder’s time will be spent working from and with the Lye Project and other community settings.

The post holder will engage with the Roma and Romanian communities within Dudley Borough to build relationships, build trust, support the identification of community strengths and actively enable the integration of the Roma and Romanian communities into local communities.

The role will include establishing good relationships with existing local resources, individuals and communities as well as with public, private, voluntary, community, faith sector and social enterprise bodies and will work in partnership with local stakeholders to support community cohesion and resilience

This post is subject to the DBS checking process.
