The role will require you to provide expert advice to the Force on all employee relations matters and as a key negotiator with our Trade Unions, Police Federation and Staff Associations, you will be critical to ensuring increased business performance, employee engagement and legal compliance. Policy development, implementation and embedding is a key aspect of the role, helping us to build and embed a culture that is aligned with our vision and values. The role will also be responsible for the comprehensive management of legal cases, assisting with complex case work and providing expert advice and guidance regarding Force wide organisational change.

You must have previous experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and Trade Union bodies with the ability to negotiate, influence and persuade. Being structured, organised and able to work independently is essential. You will be passionate about your work and will have strong listening, verbal, written and presentation skills.

This role is based in central Birmingham. However, the nature of this role will require some travel to WMP offices across West Midlands region.
