The role

Museums Worcestershire are looking to recruit an experienced Operations Officer to oversee the day-to-day running of the Commandery. The Commandery is a historic building and visitor attraction in the heart of Worcester.

This role is vital to the service as the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful operational performance of the Commandery site to deliver an outstanding service and continually improving visitor experience.  

Key Requirements

We are looking for someone whose understanding of exceptional customer service comes naturally, and is always their first consideration. Someone who knows how to get the best out of people and how to motivate front-line operations through changing times.  Someone with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards. Someone experienced in commercial operations, achieving targets and understanding how to make the most of all opportunities. Someone with strong communication, influencing and organisational skills who can effectively prioritise and meet the demands of each day. If this is you then we would love to hear from you. 

 

Skills and Experience

A background in the Museum industry is not an essential requirement – what we are hoping to find is an enthusiastic, confident and ambitious individual who is ready for a new challenge.

Additional Information

This role will work within a team rota 24 hours a week (normally worked over 3 days, Tuesday – Friday, with some flexibility), with occasional weekend, evening and Bank Holiday working required.

This post is a fixed temporary contract up to 30 April 2022.
