Urgent Response Assistant: £18,065 - £18,426 pro rata
Promoting Independence Assistant: £18,795 - £19,171 pro rata
The Urgent Promoting Independence Service provides support to individuals who live in their own home. The aim of the service is to provide support to individuals, so they can remain in their homes and to promote their independence following hospital discharge or crisis intervention and, to observe during a period of assessment any ongoing service requirements that would aid recovery.
We understand that our staff, are paramount to the quality of the service as such, we provide:
- Excellent training and training time is paid for;
- Paid travel and mileage;
- Annual appraisal and regular supervisions are provided alongside both social care and clinical staff (therapists)
- Membership of a Local Government Pension scheme;
- Free Uniforms and protective equipment provided
- Use of all IT equipment provided (smart phone, laptop etc)

- 25 days annual leave (pro-rata) rising to 30 days, after 5 years’ service, plus bank holidays
We currently only have PM vacancies available that encompass 7 days working.
The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission and is based at Wildwood, County Hall Campus. This service is provided across the whole of the county of Worcestershire and teams operate within specific areas so the need to travel is essential. The service is provided from 07.00 to 22.00. It is centrally managed through a Call Centre based in Worcester.
You should have a commitment to developing the lives of people providing care and support that meets individual outcomes and promotes independence. You should have the ability to travel independently, work autonomously and be a good team player. You need to have good communication skills, excellent organisational skills and experience of managing and leading teams. You will need an understanding of maintaining the health & safety and wellbeing of service users in their own home.
