About the role:

To help us take our next steps, we are currently searching for a skilled restorative social worker who will be a dedicated and dynamic coordinator to deliver and support practice improvement across our Children'sand Family Service.

This is a permanent position for a Principal Social Work Practitioner based in Warwick, but able to support practice improvement across Warwickshire County Council.  This will include supporting practitioners who are delivering services across early help, family support, children in need(including those on a child protection plan or in care), care experienced young adults and fostering services.

Have you got what we need?

  • Do you have significant experience of delivering restorative approaches to children and families? Do you have a robust understanding of children's legislation and safeguarding?
  • Are you skilled at building and sustaining relationships across disciplines to improve practice learning and deliver change? Are you a team player who is motivated to be the best you can be and can you utilise a high support, high challenge approach to encourage aspiration and development in others?
  • Are you organised, flexible and able to work at pace across a complex range of change activities. Are you experienced at planning, delivering and embedding practice improvement activities?
  •

    We will provide you with:

  • A pledge for all social workers that includes a manageable workload, modern and flexible working, well being services, recognition and progression. So we will proactively support you to be the best you can be, both through your career pathway and balancing the demands of your family life.
  • A collaborative environment to deliver change. You will be part of a small supportive team of Principal Social Work Practitioners, based within a wider team of Practice Improvement and Quality Assurance staff (including IROs and child protection conference chairs).  This is central to a wider service of Targeted support officers, Family Support Workers, Youth Workers, Social workers, Family Group Conference Coordinators and managers who are enthusiastic to deliver restorative practice.
  • Regular supervision with an experienced manager who will enable you to make the difference, and regular contact with a passionate and dedicated senior leadership team who are committed to Warwickshire being outstanding for both its workforce and our services to children and families.
