We need new talent to join our already excellent team that is making a real difference to people within the West Midlands.

About the Role

The Network Delivery Team is an operational team responsible for the coordination and delivery of the West Midlands local bus network.  Through the West Midlands Bus Alliance framework, the successful candidate will be required to work closely with numerous partners to ensure that the network is accessible through the planning, delivery and management of suitable highways infrastructure including bus stops, shelters and other associated assets.

You will take responsibility for building strong relationships with bus operators, local highways authorities and a wide range of stakeholders.  During periods of planned and unplanned disruption you will work closely with bus operators, local authorities, internal delivery teams and other scheme promoters to ensure that bus passengers and bus operations are considered and that suitable measures are in place to ensure buses remain punctual and that journey times are not compromised.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to make a positive impact to the people of the West Midlands.  We are seeking a dynamic individual who has knowledge and experience of working with bus operators, local authorities, scheme developers and contractors, event organisers and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate will need experience and a working knowledge of issues to be considered when planning and implementing the introduction and management of roadside infrastructure and understand and address any associated political sensitivities.

You will have the ability to influence and maintain effective working relationships with all external and internal stakeholders and be able to negotiate effectively to deliver the best outcomes for bus passengers and operations within the West Midlands.

In return for your hard work and commitment, we will reward you with a range of competitive and attractive benefits.
