The Role

The Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Company is looking to appoint a SENCo on a permanent basis, to support Our
Lady’s Catholic Primary school with the leadership of SEND provision.

The core purpose of the role is to work with Headteacher and Governing Body to determine the strategic development of
SEND policy and provision in the school. The successful candidate will have the responsibility for the operation of SEND
policy and provision to support SEND pupils, including those who have an EHC Plan.

We are a small school of 100 pupils with a dedicated teaching and support team of 17 staff. We can offer the successful
candidates:

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will hold QTS and have at least 3 years teaching experience. You will also either hold the National Award SENCo qualification or be willing to work towards achieving this.

The successful candidate will be:

  • someone who is committed to raising standards for all students
  • someone with strong leadership and good organisational skills
  • someone who can take responsibility for specialist teaching staff and designated teaching assistants, and who can effectively liaise with relevant staff, external agencies and parents.
