Rugby Borough Council has an exciting new opportunity working in a role to promote the Town Centre and wider borough as a place to live, do business and as a visitor destination.

The successful candidate will develop and deliver marketing strategies, helping Rugby Town Centre realise its full potential. You will champion the brand - ‘The Rugby Town’ - raising awareness of Rugby’s USP as the birthplace of the sport of rugby, its proud cultural heritage, varied town centre offer and events programme.

Based within our Economic Development team, your role will include working closely with our Communications, Visitor Centre and Corporate Property teams to help support our Town Centre regeneration programme via a variety of ‘soft interventions’.

The role will also involve working closely with key stakeholders such as Rugby First on joint Marketing, Communications/PR and Events Plans. As well as partnering with Rugby School the role will involve working alongside global partners, World Rugby, to promote the inspiring and interactive World Rugby Hall of Fame attraction.

We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual with experience in marketing environments. You will be the ideal candidate to champion the Borough Council’s corporate strapline – ‘proud of our past, fit for the future’.

The post will be based in our Town Hall building with the opportunity to hot desk at Rugby Visitor Centre and at Rugby First as required.
