Sandwell's Youth Offending Service has been praised by government inspectors and received an overall rating of "Good" following their recent visit to the service. The report praises the Youth Offending Service, part of Sandwell Children's Trust, for their culture of 'innovation and creativity' when dealing with young people and their families.

Sandwell Youth Offending Service has a vacancy for a Youth Offending Service Officer. We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated individual to work with children and young people who are involved in the Criminal Justice system. The successful candidate would be expected to be flexible across the range of YOS responsibilities. The candidate will be expected to have experience of completing analytical assessments and reports, developing and implementing robust intervention plans to reduce re-offending, and be able to demonstrate experience of effectively and creatively engaging young people from diverse backgrounds.

A good understanding of Youth Offending Service Safeguarding and Risk management principles, Case Management, and knowledge of Youth Justice Legislation is needed.
