Herefordshire Council Building Conservation Team aim to promote the conservation of heritage assets and good design through the provision of advocacy and advice. Working collaboratively the role of Building Conservation Officer plays a key part in providing advice and guidance on the conservation of Historic Buildings, the design of new buildings and their impact in Historic Areas. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with good interpersonal skills to join our expanding team, who is passionate and knowledgeable about architectural history, design and building conservation and able to impart this information to others in a confident and inspiring way.
You will have a degree in Building Conservation, Architecture or a related subject and be eligible for professional membership of the IHBC, RIBA or RICS with relevant previous experience.
A current valid driving licence and ability to travel around the county on site visits is essential.
