Grade 3, SCP £18,795 - £20,344 per annum, (pro rata)

25 hours per week, variety of hours in day, evening and weekend as needed

At St David’s & Queen’s Cottages we provide accommodation, care, support, activities and meal services which are designed to ensure quality of life for tenants, whilst enabling them to live as independently as possible in their own homes. We endeavour to create the happiest, safest home for all our tenants.

This is a fascinating and intensely rewarding area of work; giving you the opportunity to make a real difference to older people within St David’s House and Queen’s Cottages.

Our Community Connector will aim to deliver support flexibly and responsively to enable tenants to try new activities that meet their hobbies and interests, and play a role in their community. To do this the Community Connector will:

• Assist with the recruitment and support of Volunteers for St David’s House.

• Make links so that St David’s plays a large part in the community.

• Promote the Scheme by organising events and attending relevant events.

• Provide a timetable of events, outings and activities with and for the tenants within the scheme.

To be the right person for this role you will have the following essential skills:

• Experiencing of working with service users

• Understanding or experience of volunteering.

• Experience of supporting volunteers

• Experience of multi-agency working.

• Experience of event planning

Interviews will be held on Friday 18th October, 2019.
