At James Brindley, we provide education for children and young people whilst they are in hospital or are unable to attend their mainstream school due to special educational needs. We teach across 10 sites including teaching centres and hospitals in Birmingham.

This is an exciting opportunity to join out STP team, working mainly within the home with Primary and/or Secondary pupils who are unable to attend school for medical reasons. We have vacancies for a number of creative, well-organised and resilient professionals who have high expectations and a positive mindset. Candidates must be able to work the hours agreed on a flexible basis as our priority is always to schedule lessons at the most appropriate time for pupils and their parents/carers. Previous experience as a teacher/tutor/teaching assistant is desirable, but we will consider suitably qualified and skilled applicants from a range of educational and employment background. It is essential that you have at least a GCSE A-C (or equivalent) in English and maths along with a relevant Level 3 qualification. Due to the nature of the posts, a current valid driving licence and car access are also essential.
