The Role

This is a new position created within the Admin Team to support the running of the Attendance Support Room and to meet the needs of a growing population of students some of which have complex medical requirements. The focus of the role will be the day to day requirements of students who visit the ASR where the successful candidate will also undertake first aid, lost property, lockers administration with one day per week to cover basic attendance administration and one day per week covering payment systems.

We are therefore seeking to appoint a positive and proactive individual to work with healthcare professionals, students and their parents/carers, ensuring that all medical needs are met during the school day and that all staff are informed of those needs.

The post is for 24 hours per week based on 8.30am to 2.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, term time only; plus, one-week staff learning days; 39 weeks per annum.

Salary will be paid at Band E; £18,426 to £19,171 per annum paid pro-rata to the hours and weeks worked. Actual salary is calculated at £10,218 to £10,632; starting point depending on experience, any continuous service and qualifications.


Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an excellent administrator with an ability to support student welfare who has a positive interest in further developing the important relationships between students, staff and parents.

The post holder must be first aid trained (this can be provided by the school, if the successful candidate doesn't currently hold a first aid certificate) and should be willing to be trained to administer EpiPens, if not already trained.
