This is an exciting opportunity to join our expanding fostering service due to successful recruitment and retention of carers. You will need to be highly motivated and interested in fostering.

We have three teams within the fostering service: the family finding team which focuses recruitment and training; mainstream team which focuses on support, supervision and training of carers; and family and friends team which focuses on assessing, supporting and supervising connected persons, private fostering and special guardianship.

It is our intention to recruit to all three teams so please state if you have a preference.

We are looking for experienced social workers who are passionate about fostering, and want to ensure foster carers receive an excellent level of support to ensure children flourish in their care.

They should be a skilled, effective practitioner acting with autonomy in their day to day practice, managing a complex and varied caseload.  In doing so the postholder will lead on complex assessments and provide evidence as necessary in court proceedings.  The postholder will also require in depth knowledge and skills in one or more fields of practice which have been developed through a formal post-qualifying training and development activity.

Please see the job description for more information.

For further information on each of the teams, contact Teresa Kean (Connected Persons), Kelly Burgess (Mainstream Team),  Dan Chell (recruitment and training). Telephone number 01952 380353
