Job Details

Coventry’s Early Help Strategy sets out the vision for early help work in Coventry and outlines principles of practice and cooperation between all partners providing services to children and families.  Early help is the identification and response to emerging needs within families and their children, focusing on building resilience as well as providing help at a time when evidence indicates that support can have the most impact. Coventry's Vision for Coventry children and young people is to have supportive families, live safe from harm, fulfil their potential, are healthy, and have positive and fulfilling lives

The role 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit to the post of Family Hub Team Leader. Your role will be to manage and lead the delivery of early help services from a local Family Hub. This will include leading a team whose work spans across a  0 – 19 age range. You will be responsible for managing a range of posts that include Family Hub Practitioners, Youth Worker, and Early Help Social Worker,  and will involve working closely with a range of partners who also contribute to the delivery of  Coventry’s Early help Offer

You’ll need:

  • Relevant qualification or substantial experience of working with children, young people and families and in leading and managing teams.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the application  of the “Right Help Right Time” threshold guidance in relation to processes and procedures particularly relating to the assessment of the needs of children and families in accordance with  Working Together (2018)
  • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team in order to achieve service objectives
  • An understanding of the needs and characteristics of children, young people and their families and of the needs of local communities.
  • Identify and respond appropriately to the needs of children, young people and families, leading the delivery of planning, co-coordinating, and organising targeted activities to meet their identified needs.
  • Ability to relate to, encourage and motivate staff, partners children, young people and families to form positive relationships.
  • Ability to work in partnership with families, partners and local communities in order to support sustainable change.

Working Hours:  37.0 Hours per Week
