The role: The governors at Berkswich CE Primary School are seeking to appoint an outstanding EYFS teacher / leader from January 2020 to inspire, lead and manage our EYFS team.

Position: Permanent

Hours: Full-time

Salary: Teachers’ Pay Range - Main Scale M3 – UPS3 (£24,373 - £40,490) with a TLR

Berkswich CE Primary is a highly successful school situated on the outskirts of Stafford in a rural environment. It is an extremely friendly and welcoming Church of England School. The school has delightful and enthusiastic children; we are constantly praised by visitors for the high standard of behaviour across all classes. Berkswich is extremely well-supported by parents, governors and the Parish. Our latest Outstanding Ofsted report noted that, ‘Leaders, including governors, share a clear, ambitious vision for the school, based on very high aspirations and expectations.  We are looking for someone who:

  • has at least three years of experience as a Reception teacher and a thorough knowledge of the updated EYFS framework
  • is an outstanding EYFS practitioner who secures high rates of progress through vibrant and engaging learning
  • works within the Christian values and ethos of the school
  • maintains a safe, purposeful and rich environment to optimise learning
  • takes responsibility for the outcomes of the EYFS, driving improvements for practitioners and pupils
  • is self-motivated and builds strong, positive relationships with all stakeholders, inspiring others through the modelling of best practice
  • is self-reflective and open to new ideas regarding educational thinking and research
  • contributes to the wider school vision and values
