The HR department at the University of Wolverhampton provides timely and professional HR support to the University, its managers and staff. 

In the HR Adviser role, you will support one of our four HR Business Partners in providing a comprehensive strategic and operational service to a large faculty and corporate services areas. Your key contributions will be around HR advice and support on contracts and terms and conditions of employment, recruitment processes, job evaluation and UKVI, as well as casework around disciplinary matters, performance management, grievances, fixed term contract management and sickness absence.  The University’s HR Advisers have a varied workload, which is very high in volume.  The HR Adviser role is therefore critical to the success of the HR operational team in being able to complete work assigned in a timely, accurate and thorough manner. 

CIPD qualified, with experience in the areas above, you will possess a good understanding of employment law and HR policies and procedures, together with excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience of providing advice to line managers and staff. You should be a committed professional, able to handle multiple tasks to deadlines, with the ability to inspire trust and develop good working relationships across the institution.
